Ability To Merge Duplicate Part Numbers

Sometimes we end up with duplicate products in the catalog based on different people adding them at different times. Maybe the manufacturer is slightly different on one vs the other or the part number is slightly different from one vendor to the next, and they accidentally get added to the catalog as separate items when they are really the same thing. It would be nice to be able to merge those part numbers into one that will retroactively use the chosen desired product/model/part number on past projects/purchase orders/etc. without orphaning anything for past usages. It would be a big help for maintaining the catalog over time.
