Future Recommendation – Related Service Orders Navigation

It is recommended to introduce a new feature within the main toolbar titled “Related Service Orders.” This section would allow users to associate and navigate between service orders that are operationally or contractually linked.

The Related Service Orders panel would enable users to select and link other service orders that are connected to the current request, such as revision work (Rev), follow‑up repairs, change orders, corrective actions, or phased project tasks. Once linked, users could quickly move between correlated service orders without the need to manually search or reference external notes.

Key Benefits:

Improved visibility into interconnected work activities

Faster navigation between related service orders

Reduced administrative effort and duplicate data entry

Clear linkage between original work, revisions, and subsequent service requests

Enhanced auditability and project traceability

Suggested Functionality:

Add a “Related Service Orders” option in the main toolbar

Allow users to link existing service orders via search or selection

Display relationship types (e.g., Revision, Follow‑up, Warranty, Change Order)

Enable one‑click navigation to linked service orders

Maintain bidirectional visibility so relationships appear on all linked records

Implementing this enhancement would streamline workflows, improve operational efficiency, and provide a more intuitive user experience when managing complex or multi‑stage service activities.
