Method to modify the Tasks Item layout to add custom fields to individual items?

We need a method in which we can customize the Mobile Install windows to our own needs.
An example is for Projects which include multiple room locations, we need to identify wall port #s, PoE availability, and VLAN identification for each network-capable device we install.
We have cutom fields for the Tasks themselves, but if we have multiple network devices within the same room location, we cannot identify which device is plugging into which wall port, PoE, or VLAN. We can only set those field values at the Task-level, not the Task Item-level.

An example is if we have a computer lab with 5 different zones each with 5 displays and 5 Crestron AM-3200-WF. We cannot definitively report which device is plugged into which network port unless we enter in Notes section.
That stinks for reporting and tracking purposes.
