Turn Drop Zone show/hide button into a ribbon button

Can we turn the show/hide arrow button on the Project Editor sidebar into a button on the ribbon. When collapsed, nearly the entire sidebar cannot be grabbed to resize the project window. It's cumbersone. When you have an ultra-wide and perform window management, this becomes an issue vs. only have single or dual monitors where you wight just maximize the window.

Another solution would be: when collapsed, grabbing the side bar would resize the project window vs resizing the drop zone.
