Feature Request: Ability to Cancel a Running Report
Description:
For larger projects, report generation can take a significant amount of time. In my case, projects can exceed $10M, and certain reports may take 10+ minutes to complete.
Currently, if a report is started with incorrect settings (for example, forgetting to select "Filtered Items"), there does not appear to be a way to cancel the process once it has begun. The only apparent option is to wait for the report to complete or force-close the application.
Requested Enhancement:
Add a "Cancel Report" button or similar mechanism that allows users to safely stop report generation while it is in progress.
Use Case:
User starts a report with incorrect settings.
User realizes the mistake shortly after the report begins.
User cancels the report.
User adjusts the settings and reruns the report.
Benefits:
Saves time on large projects.
Reduces frustration when report settings need to be adjusted.
Eliminates the need to force-close the application.
Improves workflow efficiency for users working on larger, more complex projects.
Additional Note:
While this may not be a common issue on smaller projects, it becomes increasingly valuable on large-scale projects where report generation can take several minutes or longer.
